All-in-one collection-and-transport system uses a soft rayon-tipped swab (single-ended). The liquid transport medium is soaked inside a soft polyurethane sponge at the bottom of the tube. No activation or release steps are required. The sample is automatically kept moist when the swab is inserted into the tube.
