The REHABILITATOR™ is a light yet extremely durable carbon fiber AFO. It helps improve the gait of users with varying degrees of foot drop who can benefit from an energy-storing AFO. The brace offers gait assistance by controlling plantar flexion, reducing energy consumption during gait with swing assist, and improving ground clearance during gait. The flexibility at the foot plate and the strut is bioengineered to provide a corrective dynamic force, addressing abnormal plantar flexion tone in the ankle/foot. The “give” in the product helps provide neurorehabilitation with continued use; the abnormal reflex arc in the ankle/foot should diminish over time. Improved gait biomechanics can influence gait muscle memory, restoring a more normal muscle memory pattern.
