Ultrapure synthetically-produced spherical silica is manufactured using ultrapure metal-free reagents. The silica particles are fully hydroxylated before bonding. The bonded particles are exhaustively endcapped to react any remaining silanol groups. Proprietary endcapping reagents and procedures yield columns that are much more resistant to degradation by acidic and basic mobile phase compositions. Rigorous quality control test conditions ensure superior base deactivation.
