High-sensitivity 2600 cell diode array shadowline detector can easily handle demanding samples such as inks or grape juice. Automatic temperature compensation corrects readings for temperature variations. Traceability is enhanced with a detailed calibration history record. In addition, up to five calibration points may be set, and each of these points is completely definable. Complete on-screen instructions easily take the user through set-up and calibration.
Refractometers feature a clear, graphical LCD screen and full menu operation in English, Spanish, French, or German. Up to 14 custom scales may be stored. An on-screen shadowline display provides a graphical display of the shadowline on the Linear Scanned Array image sensor. This allows visual interpretation of the shadowline for detailed sample characterization. The stainless steel well and synthetic sapphire prism are sealed with chemically resistant epoxy.
The optional flow cell (55610-172) and sample press (55610-174) help improve precision and ease of use. These accessories provide rapid temperature equilibration between the sample and instrument, and help eliminate evaporation of volatile samples. The flow cell is ideal for samples with oils, fats, or particulate matter and reduces the effect of nonhomogenous samples. The sample press is ideal for high content sugar solutions, thick polymers, or gels.
