Measure specific gravity according to API degree scale for petroleum applications. Temperature standard: 15.6 degrees C (60 degrees F). Hydrometer/thermometer combination instruments contain a mercury thermometer with a range of -1.1 to 82.2 degrees C (30 to 180 degrees F) with points certified at 0, 15.6, and 32.2 degrees C (32, 60, and 90 degrees F).
All hydrometers and hydrometer/thermometers have a glass body.
A certificate is provided to indicate instrument traceability to standards provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
